Traditional Wallpaper
Most traditional wallpaper hangs with paste or water instead of a self-adhesive backing, and it's generally considered a more permanent, longer-lasting installation than peel and stick. York's traditional wallpaper collection has more than 1,800 designs, with classic motifs like florals, stripes, plaids and damasks alongside botanicals and geometric patterns. York has made wallpaper in Pennsylvania for more than a century.
Use the Installation filter to shop by how a wallpaper goes up: paste the wall, paste the paper or prepasted. Most of the collection is non-woven wallpaper, with vinyl and natural materials like grasscloth also available. Each product page lists the material and install type. For step-by-step help, see How to Hang Wallpaper.
To shop a specific traditional style, browse damask wallpaper, toile wallpaper and chinoiserie wallpaper. For kitchens and bathrooms, look at High-Performance Type II vinyl, which is scrubbable and waterproof. Order a sample to check the color and scale before you buy full rolls.
